Tim Ackah-Sanzah is a professional in Occupational Health and Safety practicing in Western Canada. His expertise focuses in Occupational Health Safety & Environmental leadership, guidance and advice to create a safer workplaces for clients . Tim has been featured in WorkSafeBC’s WorkSafe magazine’s highlighting a manufacturing company’s transformational journey in safety management systems and improvement in disability management practices under his leadership.

Tim’s credentials include a BSc. in Biology from Trinity Western University following which he began his career in occupational health and safety. His training experience includes a period where he provided technical industry expertise for BCIT’s Building Technologies diploma program as a part-time instructor in ‘Introduction to Safety Legislation’ course.

Tim attained the CRSP designation in 2011 through the Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals (BCRSP), and more recently the CHSC designation through the Canadian Society for Safety Engineers (CSSE), where he remains as a member of the Fraser Valley chapter. He served as an advisory member of the Manufacturing Industry’s Tactical Advisory Committee (TAC), as well as a participant in the Manufacturing Safety Council through the Canadian manufacturer’s and Exporters of BC. His community involvement history includes volunteer work serving as the past secretary of the Ghana Canada Cultural Association of BC in Vancouver, BC.

Tim is passionate about developing and implementing safety systems and to see organizations benefit from the creation of positive workplace safety cultures. His professional practice is grounded in honesty, integrity, respect, and competence.

General Safety Advice and guidance
Considering the ongoing changes to safety legislation and job demands it is important for employers to have accurate and current safety information, resources and direction needed to maintain regulatory compliance, and ensure the safety of their workers.
Occupational Safety Program development
Providing you with the tools, resources, and information to build an effective health and safety program, compliant with regulatory requirements, and specific to your operation and industry classification.
Workplace Inspections
Providing guidance and direction to this essential step of proactively identifying and assessing hazards in the workplace and the protecting worker safety by preventing the development of an unsafe condition.
Site Audits (Baseline, Maintenance & limited Scope)

Undertaking the process of reviewing and assessing your health and safety program to ensure it meets the requirements of the applicable legislation, followed by the development of a corrective action plan.

Exposure Control Plan development

 Whenever a worker may be exposed to air contaminants exceeding the allowable exposure limit, we provide a resource support and develop procedures for ensuring all the applicable regulatory requirements of an exposure control plan is incorporated.

Injury Management/RTW Program development
The focus of this program is to prevent or reduce the injury frequency in the workplace, and to develop procedures for helping workers return to work sooner following a workplace injury or illness.
COR/OSSE Preparation Assistance & Advice
Providing direction and guidance to organizational strategic planning to be ready for the COR/OSSE Audit process, and to help you be successful.
Hazard Identification & Control development, documentation & training
The identification, assessment and control of hazards in the workplace is a key element to the entire health and  safety program.  We work with employers to develop a system for finding hazards and recommending controls to protect worker from injury and illness.
Joint Occupational Safety & Health Committee development and improvement Advice
Helping employers establish an effective JHSC based on trust and open communication  for the purpose of ensuring the organization’s safety management system is functioning properly.

Claims Management & Guidance

Claims Management Advice & Guidance
We help employers undertand how workplace injury and illnesses directly impacts their insurance premiums, and work will employers to identify claims management solutions, claims adjudication representation, and implement best practices for return-to-work planning.
